  • Bail can be posted at the IRC cashier’s office for inmates at the IRC, Men’s Jail, Women’s Jail and James Musick Jail at any time. An Orange County bail bond can only be posted for inmates at the Theo Lacy Jail between midnight and 6:30 a.m. The inmate must have completed the booking process before bail can be posted. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office website, bail information is available about six hours after an inmate is booked. Some inmates are required to appear in court and be remanded to the custody of the sheriff’s office before bail can be posted.
  • If you are waiting for an inmate to be released, it can take as little as two hours or as long as six hours. In most cases, your Orange County bail bondsman can take the bond to jail and call you when the inmate is about to be released so you won’t have to wait at the jail.
  • If you don’t want to come to the Orange County Jail, we can fax the forms to you or you can download the forms you need. You can pay us online or over the phone. Bail is usually set at 10 percent of the total bond amount.
